Active Media Aviator-2

The Active Media Aviator-2 is a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 external 2.5” solid-state drive (SSD) released in 2010. It can be purchased in a case-only form, allowing the user to outfit it with any 2.5” SATA HDD or SSD.

For best performance, users are recommended to purchase the Aviator-2 with a pre-installed 64GB or 128GB Predator X7 SSD. Either way, the USB 3.0 interface guarantees transfer rates up to 4.8Gbits/sec (3x the rate of USB 2.0). But with a Predator SSD, data can be moved at speeds up to 200MB/sec. As the Aviator-2 is designed for external use, it comes with a felt carrying pouch and a USB 3.0 cable. Plus it is fully backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports.
