The Buffalo JustStore Portable HD-PVU2 is a low-end to mid-range external hard drive available in capacities of 250, 320, 500 and 640GB. It features a USB 2.0 data interface, TurboUSB technology for faster data transfer rates with Windows PCs, automatic power off and is USB-powered.
Additionally, the HD-PVU2 is compatible with 64- and 32-bit Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000, Server 2003 and Server 2008 as well as Mac OS 10.2.7 or later.
The HD-PVU2's TurboUSB technology utilizes your system's RAM to aid in data transfer which allows for faster data transfer rates when connected to a Windows machine by up to 20% as compared to standard USB 2.0 devices. Its automatic power off feature allows the HD-PVU2 to consume less energy, saving battery life when connected to compatible portable devices. Meanwhile, the HD-PVU2's USB-powered design means that no external power source is required for it to work.
