Hitachi SimpleDrive III

The Hitachi SimpleDrive III is an external hard drive designed to free up space on a user’s desk. The SimpleDrive III sits vertically, reducing the overall footprint of the device to a minimum. The enclosure is built of anodized aluminum in order to keep the 3.5” drive as cool as possible, contributing to overall reliability.

Available in capacities of 500GB, 1TB and 2TB, most users should have ample space for storing files or backing up data. When the connected computer is shut down, the external hard drive will automatically be turned off as well. The SimpleDrive connects to any Windows-based PC (XP/Vista/7) or Mac (10.3 and newer) via a USB 2.0 connection. Hitachi includes automatic backup software, and a warranty lasting 3 years.
