The Iomega UltraMax Double Desktop Hard Drive has a triple interface, a three port USB hub and three FireWire ports.  This enables it to be expanded upon later if necessesary. It has transfer rates of up to 800Mbits/sec, much faster than similiar Iomega hard drives.

It can be connected with FireWire 800, FireWire 400, or Hi-Speed USB 2.0, so it is important for the consumer to make sure that their computer is able to handle these types of connections before purchasing this more expensive hard drive. The Iomega UltraMax Double comes with EMC Retrospect software to handle backups and system disaster recovery. It comes with a built in RAID 0, but also has a RAID 1 option for those who want data redundancy in the case that one of the hard drives fail.
