The Cons:Fan performs quite loudly, and runs at unpredictable intervals. Can be difficult to setup to RAID 1, must be done before plugging in. RAID 1 can only access half the total capacity.
The LaCie Hard Disk MAX Quadra is a 2TB external hard drive, originally released in early 2009. The MAX Quadra is housed in a sleek mirror-black finish, and features a glowing blue LED strip on the bottom of the case.

This product features multiple connectivity options, including USB 2.0, FireWire 400/800 and eSATA 3Gb/s. The LaCie Hard Disk MAX Quadra is compatible with both PC and Mac platforms, and therefore includes proprietary software for each operating system. LaCie’s Setup Assistant allows users to customize hard drive formatting options, while Backup Assistant permits semi-automated backup. Also featured is RAID 0 and RAID 1 support for added data security. Data cables, an external power supply and a quick install guide are included in the box.
