The LaCinema Black PLAY connects to any computer with a USB port so that the user can manually transfer media and other files onto the hard drive. Then, once the LaCinema Black PLAY is connected to a TV, it can playback the media files stored on the hard drive. The PLAY has built-in WiFi and Ethernet for connecting to local networks; once connected, it can use its built in UPnP client to stream media from a networked PC or Mac (or Linux, with tinkering). The PLAY can upconvert SD video to 1080i, and connects to a television through HDMI, component, or composite inputs, with RCA or optical audio. The PLAY is controllable through an included remote control, and comes in 500GB or 1TB.
