The LaCie LaCinema Classic HD is an HD multimedia player / external HDD designed for storing, playing, and sharing movies, music, and photos. It connects to a network via a standard Ethernet interface, after which it can be used as a network DLNA/UPnP media server or to stream content directly to a Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 gaming console.

Included also are HDMI and analog outputs for directing content onto a compatible HD or standard television set. Pivotal to the Classic HD is its support for a variety of formats, including DivX, MKV, AVC, and H.264, to name a few. Additional features include 1080p upconversion, a USB interface for connecting a digital camera, and OPTIONAL wifi.
