LaCie Little Big Disk Quadra

$400.00 Released January, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Large number of connections, high speed ones too (eSATA, firewire 400/800, USB 2.0). Passively cooled - silent. Slower 5400RPM disks are perfect for storage - quiet and cool.

The Cons:5400RPM disks are not as fast as their 7200RPM equivalents, slower for transferring large files. Very expensive.

The LaCie Little Big Disk Quadra is an external hard drive that suppors 3Gbits eSATA, high speed USB 2.0, and FireWire 400 and 800. It has a built in RAID 0, which is great for speed but bad for data security should there be a hard drive failure.
