LaCie SAFE Mobile Hard Drive

The LaCie SAFE Mobile Hard Drive is a durable external hard drive designed to protect data on the go. It is equiped with an internal firmware drive lock and fingerprint access control to prevent anyone with the wrong fingers from gaining access to confidential data.

 It is designed to accommodate multiple users with the ability to set different access rights for each.  The external hard drive is able to hold up to 160GB of space and has a cache of 8MB.  It is plug and play with a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port, a driver-free installation, and an embedded user interface.  It has a rotational speed of 5400, slower than the less portable LaCie SAFE Hard Drive, and an interface transfer rate of up to 480Mbits/s.
