Released January, 2008
The Pros:Shock resistant. Comes with good software. Compact, lightweight design--very portable.
The Cons:Not as fast a performer as newer USB 2.0 external HDDs. Included backup software is too basic for more advanced users. Included documentation is very hard to understand.
The Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini is an ultra-compact, lightweight, and portable external HDD designed for PC & Macintosh computers. A counterpart to the bulky Maxtor OneTouch 4, the OneTouch 4 Mini features a 5400RPM drive speed and an 8MB cache buffer for instant access to files, not to mention an easy-to-use USB 2.0 plug-and-play interface that draws power from the computer, eliminating the need to carry around an extra power cord.

The Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini retails in four separate models, including 160GB, 250GB, 320GB, and 500GB. Prices range between $100 to $200. And it comes with a 5 year limited warranty.
