Seagate FreeAgent Desk

$165.59 Released January, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:A great way to keep redundant backups and sensitive data. Can be stored standing up or laying on its side. Industry leading 5 year warranty.

The Cons:Auto power-down makes it unmount itself in linux. Is not as transportable or easy to use on the go (larger, requires secondary power etc...).

The larger desktop equivilent to the Seagate FreeAgent GO, the Seagate FreeAgent Desk is a large external drive for transporting massive amounts of data or storage of media and/or crucial data. Featuring the same brushed metal wedge-like appearance, light activity display and backup/encryption software, the FreeAgent Desk uses faster, hotter, larger and more power hungry desktop drives that can store more data than their 2.5" laptop drive equivalents.
