SimpleTech Duo Pro Drive Quad

The SimpleTech Duo Pro Drive Quad is an external hard drive built on the same design as the Duo Pro drive. Quad means there are four interfacing options to choose from including USB 2.0, Firewire 800, Firewire 400 and 3Gbit eSATA.

RAID support is also included as this is a dual drive, offering RAID 0 (speed) mode and RAID 1 (copy) mode. Copy mode makes a copy of everything on the first drive as it is recorded, a slower maximum speed is possible and only one drive can be fully accessed but all files are backed up for safe keeping on the second drive. Speed mode uses both drives entirely with no backing up, making data transfer faster and allowing the user access to both drives. Stackable design lets you stack multiple Pro Drives together and a security lock slot is located in the back for locking the drive in a safe place.

Fabrik Local Backup software is included which can be set in a number of ways to perform automatic backup duties while running in the background. For example you can configure the program to backup any number of specified file types from any number of locations. Fabrik Ultimate Backup is a program also included which works with an online backup server, performing the same duties except your data is safe on a secure server. A 2GB free account is provided with the option to bump up to an unlimited account for less than five dollars a month.
