When connected via USB 2.0, these 5400 RPM drives can achieve data transfer rates up to 480 MB/s, or 12MB/s if connected through USB 1.1. Verbatim’s Premier Edition hard drives are bus powered, meaning no external power source is required. Included is Nero’s backup software, allowing for full system backup and restore functionality. Additional backup features include automatic scheduled backup by date/time and compressed backup. Verbatim also includes software for 128-bit encryption, enabling data to be protected in case of theft or loss.
