It’s useful for both professional AND home users. Keep in mind that unlike many of its Verbatim peers, the USB Desktop HD does require AC power; thankfully, a power cable is included with the device. Also note that the unit comes with a 3 year warranty—plenty of time to have any pesky OEM errors/malfunctions fixed.
