The Western Digital My Passport Elite 2nd-gen is an ultra-portable external hard drive built for both Windows and Macintosh desktop or notebook computers. It is available in five sizes (250/320/400/500/640) and three colors (black/red/blue).

Product Shot 2 Connectivity is based off USB 2.0 technology and the unit in fact comes with a handy on-the-go USB dock that makes hookup slightly easier to accomplish. Signature to the Passport is its illuminated capacity gauge, which lets users know approximately how much free space is left. There is also a drive lock indicator to let users check the security-status of their data. The security is in fact based on Western Digital’s SmartWare software, which ensures data is both safe and backed up at all times.
